ROSE ALLEY VR
Urban space revitalization in virtual reality.
Urban space revitalization in virtual reality.
An application created as commissioned by the Logiczna Alternatywa association and the candidate for the president of the city of Cracow – Łukasz Gibała. It is aimed at presenting an architectural vision of the Nowa Huta district revitalization. Poly Rain Studio was responsible not only for the visualization but also the space architectural design.
As part of the project, we reconstructed the existing buildings of the Central Square and the neighbouring residential yard of Nowa Huta, preserving their real scale and characteristic architectural details. The visual space was enriched with plants and street furniture, which gave it a completely different character.
For the purposes of the visualization, we designed and modelled dedicated 3D models, such as a fountain, benches, seats, bicycle stands, flowerbeds, market stands, and parts of cafe open-air terraces. In order to provide an even deeper impression of being transferred to another place, the visualization is enriched with photorealistic people models and spatial recordings of chatter and environmental sounds.

By using day and night lighting, the users can see the frozen-in-time district of Kraków in two completely different perspectives.
